Remember I posted a "Deal Alert" on the Glam Girl Page? Well, I bought it so that I could review it. I couldn't help myself. It was Too Faced and only $25. I had a gift card from my baby brother (thanks JP) from Christmas so basically all I had to pay for was shipping. So why wouldn't I? Anyways, I was expecting this package to be full of miniature sample sized products since it was so cheap and they are Too Faced products. However, I was pleasantly surprised! They weren't normal size but they weren't so small that you couldn't get any wear out of them either. If you aren't a heavy product user, they should last you a few months. I'm a "holy grail" type of girl. I stick to what I like, and Too Faced is one of my favorite brands, so these will be gone by the end of March. There were 5 products that came in the set, and the 411 and review for each is below! If you want to buy it, you can purchase it here.
Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick
This is one of those liquid lipsticks. I'm not sure if it is supposed to dry matte or not, because mine did not. It's velvety but still gloss like in texture. It smells really good almost like vanilla and butterscotch. The color is Chihuahua. It has one of those old school sponge like applicators. Remember the twist and apply lipgloss? Hey, 2004! It is a pink like color similar to that of Kylie Jenner's signature nude pinkish lip. I will say it did last a long time. I put it on and forgot it was on my lips and 12 hours (and ten Buffalo Wild Wings chicken drums) later, it was still in place. I'll have to give this one a 8 on the glam scale though because I just didn't care for the texture or the color. It is still a good lippie to have.
Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer
This little guy is a super cute matte bronzer. It doesn't have the sheen that most bronzers have in them so I can see myself using this as a good contour setting powder since I've been on a liquid contour and highlight kick these days. This bronzer is for fair-tan skin tones. It smells just like chocolate. It has a smooth powder consistency and it was very blendable. It didn't apply harsh. This was a gem. Would I buy this outright aside from the set? Probably not. This wasn't as good as the Anastasia Powder.
Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer
Buy it. The end. This is one of the better primers that I have tried it works especially well with glitter. I use a poppy seed amount over the whole eye and my shadow stuck all day. A little goes a long way. It has a velvet smooth texture. Smells a little funny, but nothing too bad it goes away after application. It advertises 24 hour shadow stay and I had it on with shadow for about 12 hours before I took it off. It was still matte and hadn't faded or creased when I took the makeup off. It just really is a good investment and I am buying the big tube version of this.
Better That Sex Mascara
In a nutshell? Not feeling it. I've seen many people from gurus to regular girls RAVE about this mascara and I just don't see what they see. I put multiple coats on my top and bottom lashes and it wasn't a vast difference. I could've done without it.
Hangover Face Primer
I love this! This is perfect for my oily skin in the winter time, and I can see this being a holy grail for dry/combo girls year round! It is replenishing and moisturizing. It has coconut water in it and it is EXTREMELY light. You put it on and it is as if you didn't even put on primer. It doesn't sit on top of the skin. My makeup went on seamlessly. The finish was flawless. I already went on Ulta and got the big one.
